Bite-size lessons on life. How do you condense what your grandmother, mother and all the strong women in your life have taught you into one volume to share with the world? That’s the exciting challenge that Gail faced when she decided to write Sweet Sop - Bite-Size Life Lessons.
Our protagonist, Shellee, looks at the world with all the wonder of a newborn, and says, “Ok, sweet sop tree, let me see what I can see. Shift a bit and expose your hidden fruit to me.” Take that as your invitation to dive inside the pages of this book to learn of the hidden life treasures.

The book Sweet Sop See comes at an auspicious time in the evolution of Jamaica. It is the year in which the country will be celebrating its Diamond Jubilee. Over these sixty years of self-governance, we have been walking with greater confidence and boldly asserting our ‘Jamaicaness’ without apology.
The author has adroitly explored themes which impart great wisdom with a uniquely Jamaican flavor. Through the eyes of a little girl, the reader will experience the insight which a child brings to her own existence from her interactions.
Gail’s effort must be lauded for the backdrop which she has masterfully created.

This is a must-read for adults and children.
